Meet the Planning Committee

Tricia Rosas

Tricia Rosas is a single mom of four who works from home to provide a rich homeschool education for her children. She runs a Network Marketing business and feels called by God to pursue the education of her children in her home. She has been homeschooling for seven years and currently her four kids have completed 9th grade, 6th grade, 4th grade and 1st grade. Tricia is the founding member of the Fort Worth Homeschoolers Facebook group that currently supports over 800 homeschooling families. She is President of Fort Worth Homeschool Community Inc. a non-profit organization that provides support and encouragement to local families.

Kylee Compton

Kylee Compton is a homeschooling mom of two boys. She has been homeschooling four years and her boys are completing 7th and 4th grade. This year, Kylee was excited to incorporate a friend’s child into her homeschooling environment. Kylee believes that anyone can homeschool, if they feel called by God to do so, but that community support is important to assist in providing confidence and encouragement on those inevitable bad days. Kylee holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and worked for years in various rehab settings, but is now blessed to be able to stay at home and educate her own children. She is Secretary of Fort Worth Homeschool Community, Inc.

Christy Barker

Christy Barker is mom to four kids ages six to fifteen and just wrapped up year seventh of homeschooling. After completing two years of directing elementary age students in a classical homeschool community, she was excited to move up to direct her oldest student’s class. Christy believes strongly that parents are the lead learners in a homeschool environment and it is critical to set the example of learning for our children. Encouragement of new homeschooling moms is her heart’s desire, and she wants them to know this is something they absolutely can do! Christy is Director of Communication for Fort Worth Homeschool Community, Inc.

 Jamie Krueger

Jamie Krueger is mom to two boys, 9 and 12. She just finished year 4 of homeschooling. Jamie believes that every person should be involved in community enrichment activities. With two boys by her side, they volunteer at the Fort Worth Nature Center and the Boy Scouts Longhorn Council leading nature hikes and educating people about wildlife. Jamie is Treasurer for Fort Worth Homeschool Community, Inc.
Jessica is a mom to three awesome kids, 19, 8, and 6. She is just finishing her 3rd year homeschooling the younger two. She believes that homeschooling should fit your family and that you should not be a slave to curriculum. She has an eclectic style of homeschooling which incorporates Classical, Charlotte Mason, and unschooling methods. She and her 2 homeschoolers are active in Awanas, BSF, and the Fort Worth Homeschoolers community. They love meeting new people and making new friends. She is passionate about encouraging those who are just starting out on their homeschooling journey and will always give you a hug if you need one, just ask! Jessica is the Public Relations Coordinator for the Symposium.
